Sourcing Ally’s confirmed structure
When a client orders through Sourcing Ally, the minimum sourcing service fee is 5%, with the project scope and calculation basis to be confirmed. If a client does not order through Sourcing Ally and wants independent factory-travel support, the rate is $150 per day.
Questions to ask any agent
Ask whether the fee covers supplier research, communication, samples, factory checks, inspections, production follow-up, packaging, travel, reports, and logistics coordination. Ask what is excluded.
Compare value, not only percentage
A lower percentage may cover fewer tasks, while a higher fee may include more coordination. The right comparison is the total scope, responsibilities, reporting, and communication.
Before you begin
Use this guide as a planning framework. Write down your assumptions, open questions, responsible parties, and the next decision before contacting a supplier.
A useful decision checklist
- What does a 5% fee include?
- Are travel and samples separate?
- Should I sign a service agreement?
What to do next
After learning the framework, apply it to one real product and one real destination market; the details should be checked before money or production is committed.
